Awaken is an action packed novel. From the very first "vision", I was committed to this story, to say the least. The reader will get wrapped up in this race against time, and loose a sense of it themselves as the story progresses. Because of the length of the story, you will grow a feel of each and every character. I was never bored with it. It was basically like watching a movie in your head. There's do much I can say about it, so much things I can highlight throughout the plot, but I'll just give you a few reasons why you need to read the book now.
- It had trouble describing what genre this book is. It's like a genre in itself. Something new, something fish, nothing borrowed.
- It's a healthy mix of a school story and action with a little bit of romance, which will bring so,thing new for all of us.
Don't take it from more. Take it from the book. Here are a few of my favorite quotes:
"These feelings, these sensations were far greater than anything I have ever felt before." Location 75 .
"I stopped and shook my head in disapproval, amazed with how I allowed him to control me. How was it that he could make me feel like I was stuck in this bubble, not able to do anything with out his approval or say?" Location 113.
"I came to a stop sign and glanced at the clock. Five thirty seven. Tick tick. Five thirty eight. Every passing second was choking me." Location 1282.
In case I was unclear, I think Awaken will be an amazing book for everyone to read. My verdict is an 8/10 and I will be keeping it on my shelves. I mean, come on, who wouldn't?
